New this year! Members of our Chapter can help accelerate the pace of diabetes research by partnering with JDRF to raise funds for the annual Gala Fund A Cure Campaign. All you have to do is set up a fundraising page, email it to your peers, and ask them to support research! To get started, please sign up here.

Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is an autoimmune disease in which the body's immune system attacks and destroys the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas. While its causes are not yet entirely understood, scientists believe that both genetic factors environmental triggers are involved. JDRF is the leading global organization focused on research that will cure, prevent and better treat T1D.
Fund A Cure is a unique opportunity to make a 100% tax-deductible donation to JDRF that will fund vital research to cure, treat, and prevent T1D. Since 1994, JDRF has raised more than $186 million through Fund A Cure alone.
Fund A Cure at the 2013 Boston Gala will be named in honor of Gary Hall, Jr. and directed towards JDRF's Immune Therapies research portfolio.
